Several buildings, boats evacuated
Seneca Falls' Fire and Police Departments were called in to evacuate several buildings on Fall Street on Friday night. Several boats on the Seneca/Cayuga Canal were also moved as a precaution, after a major gas leak in the basement of a building at 77 Fall Street. A broken valve was blamed. After repairs, air monitoring ensured it was safe to go back into the buildings later Friday night.
