LIVERPOOL, ONONDAGA COUNTY -- Action News has obtained the settlement agreement between the Liverpool Central School District and two of its employees.
In the settlement, Athletic Director George Mangicaro and Director of Computer Education Bonnie Ladd agreed to drop their federal discrimination suit against the school district. According to the settlement papers, as part of the agreement Mangicaro will receive $65,000, Ladd will receive $40,000 and their lawyers will receive $15,000.
Also, per the agreement, Ladd has agreed to retire from her position before June of 2013.
Mangicaro, who had been on paid administrative leave, has already returned to work. Ladd, also on administrative leave, will return in August.
Mangicaro and Ladd say they were suspended after making accusations of financial misconduct against outgoing superintendent Jan Matousek. Matousek announced her retirement earlier this year.
