TOWN OF STEUBEN -- The Oneida County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident on Route 274 in the Town of Steuben. It happened around 10 Sunday morning. The motorcycle driven by Robert D. Braue of Canastota was traveling in a westerly direction when Braue drove off the right shoulder of the roadway. Braue and the motorcycle traveled into a ditch for a distance before impacting wooden fence posts and barbwire. Braue was taken to Rome Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The accident is still under investigation.
