VERNON --
Fire broke out at the administration building at Vernon Downs Saturday night. The call went out at 8:55 p.m. and firefighters had the fire under control in a half hour.
The fire caused a power outage at the track and parking lot and delayed the start of the “Night of Champions” racing for about 45 minutes.
Damage to the building is being accessed and there is no word Sunday on what caused the fire.
