Bank robbery suspect arrested

DEWITT -- DeWitt Police have made an arrest in a bank robbery that happened over the weekend. Officers arrested 45-year-old Daniel Ufares. He's accused of robbing the M&T Bank on Erie Boulevard Saturday morning.

Ufares was taken into custody he showed up at the parole office Thursday. Police say he had some of the stolen money on him at the time.

Officers already had clothing believed to have been worn during the robbery. They pulled Ufares's prints off the clothes.

Ufares is charged with robbery and grand larceny. He was arraigned Thursday and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center on no bail. He is scheduled to be back in court on November 18th.
