SYRACUSE -- There is a new apartment development in downtown Syracuse.
Monday, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the first completed apartment at Franklin View Terrace on West Division Street. Mayor Matt Driscoll and other city leaders joined developer Cosimo Zavaglia to unveil the 86-unit apartment complex which features commercial space on the ground floor. The apartments have granite counter tops, solid wood cabinets and stainless steel appliances.
You may recall the city stopped construction in March because it lacked building permits. The developer said he didn't know he needed them for the work he was doing then. The issue was resolved and the work resumed.
As of now, Franklin View Terrace is scheduled to be completed next summer.
