EAST SYRACUSE -- State Police assigned to the East Syracuse barracks, on the New York State Thruway, arrested Dennis J. Sullivan, Jr., age 30, of 127 Mooney Ave.., Syracuse, NY, on charges of Falsifying Business Records 1st Degree (Felony) and Petit Larceny (Misdemeanor), after a routine audit by the New York State Thruway Authority.

The audit revealed that Sullivan falsified toll records on November 15, to conceal the theft of at least $39.80 in toll receipts. The full amount of the thefts was difficult for NYSTA auditors to determine, due to the theft and/or destruction of toll records. At the time of the incident, Sullivan was employed as a toll collector at the Syracuse-area interchanges, in Onondaga County, NY.

Sullivan is scheduled to be arraigned in the Town of Dewitt Court, on December 9, 2009, in connection with the charges.
