SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Mayor Matt Driscoll may have a new job lined up for when his term ends. Governor David Paterson nominated him to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation.
The agency loans billions of dollars for low-cost financing and technical assistance to cities, towns, businesses, and other state agencies for environmental projects.
"Matthew Driscoll's leadership over the last eight and ah alf years in environmental, energy, and sustainability initiatives has prepared him well for his new role as President and CEO of the Environmental Facilities Corporation," Governor Paterson said.
In the new role, Driscoll will oversee 150 employees. The job pays $155,000 a year.
