LIVERPOOL -- Older Driver Safety Awareness Week starts Monday, December 6. It is the perfect opportunity for families to discuss aging and safe driving with older family members.
Driving requires certain physical, visual and cognitive abilities that subtly change as people age.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, people over 65 are the fasted growing population in the country, and an estimated 90 percent of those over 65 retain their driver’s license. That makes senior safe driving an issue many families must face.
AAA is offering a free seminar for senior drivers and their families on Wednesday, January 27th. The seminar is at AAA, 7485 Henry Clay Blvd, Liverpool. To reserve your seat call 1-800-836-2582.
