WEEDSPORT (AP) -- The man accused of leaving a woman bound with duct tape inside an upstate New York motel room remains in custody in Florida on federal charges.

Cayuga County Sheriff David Gould said Monday that 30-year-old Arnold Fox was tracked from central New York to Charleston, S.C., to Miami, where he was taken into custody Saturday by FBI agents.

Authorities say Fox has been charged with wire fraud and interstate transportation of a stolen vehicle.

Police say Fox used the Internet to lure a 21-year-old woman from the Glens Falls area to join him on visits to horse farms. Authorities say he left her tied up with duct tape inside a Weedsport motel, where a cleaning crew found her Dec. 7.

The woman was treated for a head injury.
