SYRACUSE -- Onondaga County legislators unanimously approved a $75,000 settlement Tuesday to a woman who was Tasered by an Onondaga County Sheriff's Deputy on January 31st.

Audra Harmon will now drop her lawsuit against the county. The suit claimed the incident violated her constitutional rights. The event was captured on the deputy's "dash cam" and received national attention. Deputy Sean Andrews used the Taser to subdue Harmon after she allegedly resisted arrest. The charges against Harmon were dropped.

Legislator Thomas Buckel was the only lawmaker to criticize the incident. He said it brought "national shame" upon the county.

Deputy Andrews was suspended without pay for 30 days in August. A Sheriff's Department spokesman says more discipline is pending.
