ALBANY -- The family and friends supporting a woman convicted of a notorious Central New York murder say she has lost her bid for clemency. Laurie Kellogg will remain in prison for killing her husband nearly 20 years ago.
Kellogg is serving 25 years to life at a prison downstate.
Prosecutors say Kellogg convinced a group of teens to kill her husband Bruce in Seneca County back in 1991. Kellogg, the jury found, led the teens to believe she was the victim of an abusive husband.
In a statement on the 'Free Laurie' website, her supporters say "Our efforts to obtain Laurie's release have stalled. We are exploring additional options, but covet your prayers."
