(AP) -- Now that swine flu vaccine shortages are over, New York health officials are urging people who haven't been vaccinated to do so - as another wave of illness is forecast for the coming weeks.

New York is among 11 states that still have widespread flu outbreaks - meaning more than half of the state's counties are reporting cases. State Health Commissioner Richard Daines says another wave could hit this winter or next spring.

Pharmacies around New York can now give vaccinations and are receiving their first doses this week and next. The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is in talks with national chains Target and Wal-Mart to potentially have them start distributing the vaccine.

The vaccine supply started with just a trickle from manufacturers in early October.
