Minor injuries after car-train crash near Auburn

AUBURN -- Cayuga County 911 dispatchers say a car has been hit by a train. Rescue crews are on the scene right now near the corner of Route 5 and Hidden Valley Boulevard in Auburn.

Dispatchers say the crash was relatively minor. Dispatchers tell Action News a car slipped on ice and went onto the tracks, but the train was traveling slowly. Rescue crews were sent to the scene as a precaution.

Action News viewers have reported traffic slowing down in the area, so be careful if you are driving through.
