ALBANY (AP) -- State officials are making a plea during this snowy winter: Please don't plow or shovel your snow on to public roads.

Acting Transportation Commissioner Stanley Gee is asking for cooperation from property owners and snow plow operators to help keep roadways clear of snow and ice. He says it's a safety issue for drivers and pedestrians. Commissioner Gee says that everyone shares the responsibility of keeping plowed roads clear by not blowing or shoveling snow on to them.
