HERKIMER -- State Police in Herkimer are investigating a fatal snowmobile accident.
Troopers say 36-year old Kevin Gullis of East German Street in Herkimer failed to negotiate a curve on trail #43 off of Shells Bush Road Sunday afternoon. Investigators say Gullis went off the trail and struck the hitch of a hay wagon, causing him to be ejected from the snowmobile.
Gullis was pronounced dead at the scene by the Herkimer County Coroner's Office. Police are continuing to investigate the accident.
