SYRACUSE -- A Marcellus man was sentenced Monday morning for his role in the death of a Solvay man last year.

49-year-old Tim Henry was sentenced by Onondaga County Court Judge Anthony Aloi to 3-9 years in state prison for vehicular manslaughter after the death of 24-year-old Erik Kohler. Henry admitted that he was driving while impaired on drugs and alcohol when he struck and killed Kohler with his car on January 3, 2009. Kohler was walking home from a birthday party late at night when he was run over by Henry’s car.

Henry pleaded guilty last month in exchange for the promised sentence of 3-9 years in state prison.
