Holy Trinity parishoners plan appeal
The final mass was celebrated on Sunday morning, at a Syracuse Northside church that's been a community anchor since the late 1800s. Holy Trinity, on Park Street, has 300 parishoners, but it was standing room only for the church's close. Among those in attendance, representatives of other area Roman Catholic churches that have closed, who say they want to offer support. Holy Trinity parishoners who are unhappy with the proposed merger with another Northside church have already taken the first steps toward an appeal with the Vatican.
