ALBANY (AP) -- A former hedge fund manager from Westchester County who served on President Obama's automotive industry task force is running for New York state comptroller.
Harry Wilson announced his intentions Tuesday in a letter to supporters. He's running against Democratic incumbent and former state assemblyman Thomas DiNapoli.
Wilson worked at four different financial firms, including Goldman Sachs. He says his role assessing investors and making decisions for these companies would serve him well if he became comptroller.
Calls for comment to the comptroller's office weren't immediately returned late Tuesday.
The auto task force is the group responsible for the overhaul of General Motors and Chrysler.
