PARLIN, NJ -- Another of Onondaga County's ten most wanted fugitives has been captured.
According to a news release from the Onondaga County Sheriff's office, Armondo Martinez, listed as fugitive #6 on this year's Onondaga County's Top Ten List, was apprehended early Friday morning. Police say that last week warrants developed information that the 35-year-old Martinez was living in New Jersey. A tip led members of the United States Marshals Service to a residence in Parlin, New Jersey where Martinez was located and taken into custody without incident.
Martinez will await extradition proceeding before returning to Onondaga County where he will be facing charges of third degree rape.
Martinez's arrest means that only half of the county's top ten fugitives remain at large. Click here to view the complete list.
