25th anniversary of winter celebration
It may be the last weekend, but there's plenty going on around downtown Syracuse in this, the 25th year of Winterfest.
Bill Cooper, who coordinates events, says best bets include the Chowder Cookoff in Hanover Square on Saturday (judging and free samples about 2pm), as well as ice carving, drink mixoffs both Saturday and Sunday, and the Kids Karnival at City Hall Commons both
days. On Sunday, there's another breakfast with the mascots at PJ's Pub, 9 - 11:30 am, a wing walk noon - 5, Team Trivia at Coleman's Pub and more.
