NEW YORK (AP) -- Police say a man who admitted plotting to bomb New York City's subway system planned to attack commuters at rush hour with at least two other bombers.

Najibullah Zazi  pleaded guilty Monday to conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction and supporting al-Qaida. Authorities say the 25-year-old former Colorado airport shuttle driver is cooperating with investigators.

Zazi told a Brooklyn judge he had traveled to New York last September with bomb-making materials he planned to use on city subways after the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Others charged in the plot include two of Zazi's high school classmates from Queens, who have court appearances later this week.

New York Police Department Commissioner Raymond Kelly hasn't named the suspects he says planned to bomb the subways with Zazi. But he said Tuesday the plot has been disrupted.
