SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police want your help stopping a burglar, who has set two fires, after taking guns, lap tops and cameras from homes in the University area.
Detectives are investigating break-ins, in homes near Manley Fieldhouse, streets like Harriet, Buckingham, Lancaster and Westmoreland. The burglaries happened between February 15th and the 23rd. The fires being set have police particularly concerned.
Syracuse Police’s Tom Connellan said, “ whoever is doing this and setting fires, we believe they think no one's home in these houses. But, how would they now for sure that there wasn't someone sleeping there, who they just didn't see”. In some of the burglaries people have been home during the break ins.
Police would like you to call 442-5222 if you see anything out of the ordinary in those neighborhoods.
