Forgery investigation in Cicero

CICERO -- State police are investigating a forgery in Cicero. They say it happened at the Wal-Mart on Brewerton Road. Police have arrested 33-year-old Heidi Cassidy of Syracuse and charged her with criminal possession of a forged instrument 2nd degree, falsifying business records 1st degree, and two counts of petit larceny.

Police say their investigation revealed that Cassidy used forged UPC bar codes to purchase several items from the Wal-Mart. She is also accused of stealing an MP3 player from the Wal-Mart. Cassidy was arraigned in the Town of Cicero Court. According police she was released and scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Cicero Court at a later date.
