SYRACUSE -- Centro is dropping some routes and changing others effective today as the regional transit system attempts to cope with fewer state dollars. Here are the details outlined in a news release from Centro:
These service reductions, first considered in February 2009, were formally announced this past November.
The reductions include:
*Discontinuing the 723 Minoa – Suburban East bus route
*Discontinuing the 70 / 170 Oak-Darlington bus route
*Consolidating the 78 / 178 Fairmount bus route in to one bus route and reducing its
frequency of service
*Reducing the frequency of service of the 72 / 172 East Colvin bus route
Centro has also made minor routing and / or scheduling changes for the following bus routes:
62 Manlius, 240 Nob Hill, 36 Camillus, 82 Baldwinsville, 50 Carousel Center,
56 Stolp - Strathmore, 64 Western Lights
