SYRACUSE -- A local man has admitted his involvement with a Syracuse-based gang.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, 24-year-old Darquan Walker of Syracuse pleaded guilty to conspiring to engage in a pattern of racketeering and crack distribution on the south side of Syracuse through his involvement in the 110 Gang, also known as the “Face Mobb”. Walker also admitted to twice shooting at unnamed people, the first on Ontario Street in Syracuse in November 2005 and the second on West Ostrander Avenue in November 2007.
Walker faces up to life in prison and a $250,000 fine when he's sentenced on June 29. He is the second 110 Gang member to plead guilty in the case.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office says cases against ten other co-defendants are still pending.
