Bangles contain high levels of lead
SYRACUSE -- The Onondaga County Health Department is alerting a parents about a children's jewelry recall.
The recall includes bangle bracelets sold at Chandigarh Fashion stores in Flushing and also at stores in Chicago. The bangles were sold in packets of 24 and are gold with red, maroon, black, orange or green stripes.
The bracelets are being recalled because they contain high levels of lead. The health department says young children are especially vulnerable because they often put items in their mouths.
If you purchased the bracelets, you can return them to the store for a refund. The bangles were made in India.
