Hit and run driver surrenders to police

SYRACUSE -- UPDATE: Saturday, March 6 1:50 pm.-Syracuse Police say the driver who allegedly struck a pedestrian on Glenwood Avenue Thursday morning, then left the scene, has turned herself into police. Police identify that driver as 57 year old Juanita Puma of Apple Street in Syracuse. Police say the investigation is contininuing and tickets are pending.


S yracuse Police are looking for help finding the driver who left the scene of a crash. officers say a pedestrian was hit by a car Thursday morning on the 200 block of Glenwood Avenue. The driver then sped away.

Investigators say the car is a gray or tan colored Hyundai with a partial license plate of CYH-4 or CVH-4. Police believe there were two women in their 40-'s in the car. The vehicle might have damage to the passenger side front quarter panel, or the passenger side mirror.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department Traffic Division at 442-5151.
