The wind made for a messy Saturday night around Central New York. On Fay Road in Geddes a tree came down taking power lines with it. It landed on a nearby house.

Emergency crews were busy responding to similar scenes around the area.

Matt Peptis with Palmer Electric said, "Hopefully this is it but it just depends on how the weather continues and the wind. The wind has been horrible. That's the worst of it."

Seamus Haggerty works with CNY Fire Emergency Services. He responded to the scene to help secure the home after the tree is removed. He said, "Once we get the tree off, we make sure the structure is covered up so there won't be any water damage inside the home."

Emergency workers are prepared for a long night Saturday night as rain and wind continues.
