SYRACUSE -- After a lot of hype and excitement, NCAA Tournament play finally kicked off Thursday afternoon. Basketball fans all across the county will be glued to their television sets, logged online for score updates, and cheering on their favorite schools to win the national championship. Some fans may even leave the comfort of their couch and travel to the actual sites where their team is playing.

Depending on where that takes you will determine how much coin you need to shell out. According to www.Stubhub.com, the tournament sessions in Buffalo are bringing in the most money. The average ticket is going for about $220. If you are a die-hard Syracuse fan and hoping to score a last minute set to Friday night's game, get ready to pay about $176!

Perhaps you're an optimist and want to hold out for the Elite Eight round in Salt Lake City, Utah next weekend. If the Orange make it that far, the March 27th game could set you back anywhere from $99 to $765.

Think that's a lot of green to see the Orange? If they make it to the Final Four in Indianapolis and are in the national title game, you could be looking at spending anywhere from $162 to $2,300 per seat!

On the other hand, Sweet Sixteen fans headed to the Carrier Dome for the March 25th game could be asked to pay a mere $16 bucks to sit in the nosebleed section. For better seats you'll have to dig into those pockets a little deeper and shell out up to $779.

If these numbers seem foul, there are some tips available for those who want to make their purchases online. According to the State Attorney General's website, before you click 'buy' for those tickets be sure to check the site's web address. Any site that has "https" in the address bar is a secure site that will scramble your personal information.

The Attorney General's Office also recommends you use a credit card instead of a debit card, because they offer more protection in case your information is hacked.

The Better Business Bureau also suggests that you look for the BBB seal on a website before making any purchases.
