SYRACUSE -- Grandmothers, their grandkids and more than 470 other people were shaved bald at Kitty Hoynes Irish Pub in Syracuse today.
The shavee's were showing solidarity with kids battling childhood cancer.
Over the six years that the St. Baldrick’s event has been held at the pub, more than one million dollars has been raised for childhood cancer research.
Today’s fundraiser has brought in about $265, 000, but organizers say that does not include cash donations.
