SYRACUSE -- A pedestrian is recovering after being hit by an ambulance near Syracuse University. It happened just before midnight near the intersection of University Place and Comstock Avenue.

Onondaga County 911 dispatchers say the ambulance driver stopped and called for help. We're told the pedestrian was unconscious after being struck. Their condition is unknown at this time.
