'Green' cars & vendor fair planned
Going green may sound good, but most home and business owners have trouble getting from the concept to the reality.
SUNY Oswego asks its students to produce projects aimed at advancement every spring, and this year they'll also be staging a Sustainability Fair that's open to the public, on Wednesday, April 21. Jack Gelfand, SUNY Oswego's Director of Research Administration, says the event will include a car show with a hydrogen powered, an electric, a hybrid, a Smart Car, and a wood gasification truck. It gets underway at noon. From 4 to 8, the Campus Center Arena hosts vendors and speakers with products, services and money-saving initiatives. Green cleaning services, solar and wind energy contracting, organic gardening and farming, as well as green buildings and tax incentives will be included. Gelfand says it's free, and there is on-campus parking. For more:
