Fund drive a half-million short
The United Way of CNY has let its membr agencies know that they'll be cut again in allocations for the year, this time by about 3.3%.
The 39 member agencies will see the reduced moneys starting in July, and if they get funding for more than one program from United Way, they can decide how the funding reduction will be spread among programs.
The United Way Board also voted to reduce its own operating budget by 3.3%, as well as redirect moneys to several funds to cover the half million dollar shortfall in its latest funding campaign.
