Support for parents who foster or adopt is one part encouraging more to get involved
This is National Foster Care Month, and parents who are already involved in caring for children in need say there's an urgent need for more---so they have visibility and information events planned. Chris Moses, who's with the Foster Adoptive Parent Association of Oswego County, says foster parents will be guests of honor later this month---an example of support that Social Services and Liberty Resources provide in her county. Today (Sunday), weather permitting, they're doing a more public celebration--a kite flying at Goettel Park in Central Square (it starts at two). Her group also has banners around the county, encouraging more adults to get involved.
