SYRACUSE (AP) -- They're the masters of the mini-mart, the superstars of 7-Eleven.
This week, the New York State Association of Convenience Stores Hall of Fame welcomes two new members.
Tom Purcell of Syracuse and Gary Mikutel of Glens Falls will become the 31st and 32nd members of the trade group's Hall of Fame when they're inducted this week.
There's no Hall of Fame building for convenience store legends. But the Albany-based association says inductees do get a plaque - and the opportunity to buy their colleagues a drink at Thursday's convention banquet in Syracuse.
Purcell is a retired sales manager for McLane Co., a supplier of convenience stores.
Mikutel is a regional manager for Xtra Mart convenience stores in New York, Pennsylvania and western New England.
