ADAMS, JEFFERSON CO. -- This week's "My School" takes us north on Interstate 81 to South Jefferson High School, where the students want to make everyone is aware that it's "not your average rural high school".
You pretty much realize that when you walk in the door, there's all sorts of activity going on at every corner of the school. From a beautiful art display right at the front door to a mural that eventually have every senior's handprint on it, the school has a true picturesque feel to it.
South Jefferson students are more than willing to help several causes to give those specific groups support in many different ways. From large ribbons that show hundreds of students thoughts for those who are or who have fought cancer, to a student council that helps the needy during the holiday season, and a group that is remembering those lost in the Columbine attacks and making sure something like it never happens in their school, and that everyone is treated equal truly this is a special school.
