ROME, ONEIDA CO. -- It has been a nervous day at the high school in Rome where police have been searching the entire building after finding bullets inside earlier in the day.

Rome Public Safety Commissioner Jim Masucci tells CNY Central that one bullet was found on the floor in a classroom in the Rome Free Academy high school. He said two more bullets were found in two different lockers. Masucci says the search is continuing as of 3:15 this afternoon.

Rome Police have been at the high school for several hours today. Students were kept in their classrooms while officers searched the premises, but were dismissed shortly after the regular final bell of the day.

There have been no reports of any violence in the building, and police say they have not made any arrests nor do they have any suspects.

School officials say they expect RFA to open as usual Thursday morning.
