Twelve SYRACUSE -- Christian Brothers Academy students recently attended a Lasallian Convocation meant to promote children's rights domestically and also around the globe. The convocation was held at the United Nations to make those attending aware that children of all nations, even the United States are subjected to lack of care, abuse, and violence.

Arriving home from this convocation, the students found themselves enlightened, and in some cases surprised, and energized to spread the word that some children are in need of things that many of us take for granted. They're even planning an event that would happen this fall, hoping to have it fall in line with International Day for Children. The goal would be to spread the word on everything they learned from several speakers and presentation, and to bring that information to their peers who didn't attend and hope that they join the fight for children's rights.
