AUBURN -- Police in Auburn say an 11-year-old has been sent to the hospital after being shot in the face by another 11-year-old.
Police say the two were playing with a .22 caliber rifle at a home on Sheridan Street around 4 a.m. when one child shot the other in the mouth.
Police say at last check, the boy was in surgery at University Hospital in Syracuse.
At this point, police say it was an accident.
