To help people escape the heat, pools in Syracuse stayed open longer Tuesday evening.
At the Thornden Park pool in Syracuse, people were out splashing around and cooling down. All the outdoor pools, with the exception of Burnet Park, will be open late this week through Thursday. They will stay open until 8PM.
Outside the city of Syracuse, Onondaga County is also offering extended hours and free admission at Oneida Shores and Jamesville Beach on Wednesday and Thursday.
