TROY, NY -- A woman who is facing more than 90 charges in connection to an animal cruelty investigation in Central New York has been arrested in the Albany area.
Police say two German Shepherds were abandoned in Troy, and they ate rocks and garbage to keep from starving. Police say Mallory Paetow left the dogs in a yard after she was evicted. She was charged with two counts of animal cruelty.
According to animal cruelty investigators, Paetow is still facing 93 charges in Central New York, all misdemeanors. Back in October more than 30 sickly dogs were taken from her home in Salina.
Investigators say the dogs had been living in filthy conditions, some of them down to their skin and bones with serious infections.
