SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse man will spend the next 15 years to life behind bars for the death of his own grandmother.

Paris Hart IV, 20, pleaded guilty to 2nd degree murder in the death of his grandmother, Nanette Hart, 67. Back in December, her body turned up behind the garage of a home she owned on Westmoreland Avenue.

Police say Hart wanted money from his grandmother to pay for drugs and gambling debts, and when she wouldn't give it to him, he attacked her. Police say Hart was living with his grandmother for a time and they appeared to have a good relationship.
