DEWITT -- A pit bull thrown from a fourth floor window is doing well after another check up Friday.
Peggy was found outside a Syracuse apartment building in June. She had to have surgery to repair her broken legs. The community came together to raise the money needed for the surgery.
The DeWitt Animal Hospital tells CNYcentral Peggy had another check up with the surgeon, and is doing well. She still has several weeks of cage rest ahead of her.
There have been dozens of requests to adopt Peggy, but workers at the hospital say there's no rush, since Peggy still has a lot of recovery time.
Syracuse Police arrested 20-year-old Ricky Coleman in the case. He's facing animal cruelty charges.
