OSWEGO CO. -- A Constantia man is facing a slew of charges, accused of leading sheriff's deputies on a high speed chase and ramming his car into police.
Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say Anthony Burk, 20, was driving on State Route 69 at a high rate of speed. But when a deputy tried to pull him over, investigators say, Burk took off, at times speeding at more than 100 miles per hour through Parish and Hastings on Route 11.
He's accused of hitting a marked Sheriff's patrol car and flying into a ditch. But it didn't end there. Investigators say Burk then took off again, driving out of the ditch and nearly hitting another deputy.
They say he kept going down Route 11, slamming into a marked state police SUV twice before losing control and flipping over. Burk is now facing a number of charges, including driving while intoxicated, criminal mischief, aggravated unlicensed operation and unlawfully fleeing police.
He's being held at the Oswego Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail.
