The New York State Thruway reports that a tractor trailer has been removed from a concrete barrier and both eastbound lanes are open between Weedsport and I-690. But the Thruway reports that extensive delays continue.

A tractor trailer accident is causing major delays on the New York State Thruway.
It shut down the right lane of I-90 between exit 39 (Syracuse - Fulton - I-690) and exit 40 (Weedsport - Auburn - NY Route 34). There are no reports of any serious injuries, but we're told it's led to long back-ups in the area. State Police say a tractor trailer struck a concrete barrier and is sitting on it right now. They expect it will be some time before the mess is cleared.
Keep that in mind if you head that way to work.
