OSWEGO -- During the four-day Harborfest event, Oswego police made fewer arrests compared to the two previous years.
Sixty-seven people were arrested this year compared to 134 people in 2009 and 106 people in 2008. The majority, 39 of the arrests, were for open containers. Fourteen were for possession of alcohol under age 21 and 10 were for disorderly conduct.
In all, police received 388 calls for service this year, issued 129 parking tickets and towed 30 vehicles. They also investigated an incident involving a stolen ambulance, dealt with the Lake Street sinkhole and cleaned up the collapse of a vacant former church.
