SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police are investigating two separate shootings in the city that left two minors wounded.

The first happened around 8:40 p.m. Friday on the 2000 block of East Fayette Street.  Once police arrived on scene, they found a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg.  The victim was taken to University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.  The name of the victim is being withheld because the victim is a minor.

The second shooting happened less than an hour later, around 9:15 p.m. on the 200 block of Shonnard Street.

That’s where police found a victim with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.   That victim was also taken to University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.  The name of the victim, who is also a minor, is not being released.

Syracuse police urge anyone with information to contact them at 442-5222.  Police say they do not know if  the shootings are related.
