No word on whether the shootings are related
SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police are investigating two separate shootings in the city that left two minors wounded.
The first happened around 8:40 p.m. Friday on the 2000 block of East Fayette Street. Once police arrived on scene, they found a victim with a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was taken to University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The name of the victim is being withheld because the victim is a minor.
The second shooting happened less than an hour later, around 9:15 p.m. on the 200 block of Shonnard Street.
That’s where police found a victim with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. That victim was also taken to University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. The name of the victim, who is also a minor, is not being released.
Syracuse police urge anyone with information to contact them at 442-5222. Police say they do not know if the shootings are related.
