CANANDAIGUA, N.Y (AP) -- A New York woman and her boyfriend have been accused of writing on the forehead of the woman's blind 10-year-old son.

Ontario County Sheriff's deputies arrested 29-year-old Jeremy Bailey and 31-year-old Cecilia Pierson on charges of child endangerment.

The sheriff's office and child protective services said Bailey and Pierson wrote derogatory words on the boy's forehead and sent him to summer school with the words still there.

Both were issued tickets to appear in Canandaigua Town Court at a later date.

There was no phone number listed for the couple's home in Canandaigua, and no information about their attorney was available.

According to this article, the parents say it was all a joke.
