LAFAYETTE -- A man from Massachusetts was hurt Wednesday afternoon when a bulldozer went off the side of a road in LaFayette.

The accident happened on Eager Road at a Tennessee Gas Pipeline site.

The victim, 37-year-old Roy Baltzer, was thrown from the bulldozer when it went down a steep embankment. His injuries were not considered life threatening.

The company isn't sure if the bulldozer went over the edge because of a mechanical problem or operator error. The cause is still under investigation.
